Guaiacwood Essential Oil

from $4.75

Guaiacwood is a unique essential oil steam distilled from the heartwood resin of the Bulnesia sarmienti tree. This tree is native to Paraguay, Bolivia & Argentina. It’s aroma is soft, balsamic, tea rose, sweet, spicy, powdery, peppery and slightly smoky. It acts as a fixative and helps to blend florals into the base of a composition, while imparting soft, balsamic nuances to add smoothness and complexity to any fragrance.

Guaiacwood essential oil is a semi-solid at room temperature, and becomes a mobile liquid when gently warmed. To fully incorporate it into a carrier oil, I suggest warming both the guaiacwood and carrier oil to the same temperature (until the guaiacwood melts) and then combine them while warm with constant stirring.
