Sandalwood Supreme is an exquisite perfumery base created by perfumer Darren Alan. It is an affordable replacement for Mysore Sandalwood (Santalum album), which is exorbitantly expensive, as well as difficult to acquire.
This base recreates the olfactory profile of high quality Mysore Sandalwood essential oil. It is smooth and woody, with a creamy and nutty undertone. This base recreates the subtle and delicate nature of Mysore Sandalwood and lacks the bombastic woody profile of commercial sandalwood replacers. This base is a mixture of natural and synthetic materials and contains nearly 10% genuine Santalum album essential oil. This base can be used at levels of up to 60% of your finished perfume.
