Narcissus Absolute
Narcissus poeticus, or Poet's Daffodil is a spring-blooming flower in the Narcissus (Daffodil) family. In Greek mythology, Narcissus was the son of Cephissus, and was so beautiful that upon staring at his reflection in a pond, he fell in love with his own reflection. He remained at the pond and stared at his reflection until he could no longer survive his own beauty. He died peering at his own reflection and in his place a flower sprung from the earth which bore his very name...Narcissus.
